Just a blog where I post my rants about shit. The domain- and blogname is obviously a reference to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and the genius of Douglas Adams. I was just browsing for random available domain names, and it seemed as good as any choice really. So here it is. It is a fairly new blog, and I didn’t bring over the content from my old website and blog.
Quick stuff about me: I’m from Norway and I’m 32 years old. I have a background in electronics and IT. IT for me involved a hell of a lot of user support and a fair bit of web development, mostly php coding (which explains why I use Wordpress, because I can’t be arsed to code my own, and this shit works rather well.) I spent a couple of years in Sydney, Australia, and now I live in Oslo, Norway where I study particle physics at the University of Oslo.
Other than studying, mostly quantum mechanics these days, I post on forums like TalkRational.org and follow a number of science RSS feeds. I also require my weekly dose of xkcd. I don’t have much free time these days, but I do like mountain hiking when I have some time off. Photography is also a small hobby of mine that I wish I had more time for. I also love movies, and especially science fiction. I do also try to read a bit, also mostly science fiction or fantasy.
